Fresh and Tasty Mushrooms was established in 2007 on the same farm in Amaranth, Ontario, Canada that belonged to Sean Declerc's grandparents. Back then the family raised beef cattle and rabbits.
Now, Sean and his wife Shannon farm approximately 15 varieties of specialty mushrooms year round adding nothing to the grow blocks but a little water and love.
The spent mushroom compost is then turned into the garden where we produce 5 acres of fruits and vegetables including (but not limited to) summer and winter squashes, pumpkins, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes, beets, corn, watermelons and some fresh herbs.
We follow organic farm management practices and are starting to incorporate regenerative agriculture methods into our farming. Food is only as good as the soil it grows in.
All of those flowers keep our buzzing bees busy pollinating and making delicious, all natural wild flower honey and fresh honeycomb.
From our family to yours, there is something for everyone from the fields of Fresh and Tasty Mushrooms.
